With so many talented horses in the field its hard to choose!
I've been all over the Official Kentucky Derby website following daily workouts, news about previous races and the daily video updates for the past week. I'm not one for placing bets, I'm more of a bragging rights kind of person :)
The horses I have been hearing an awful lot about have been Union Rags, Hansen, Alpha and Bodemeister. The top 8 horses picked to win according to the Official Website are Bodemeister, Creative Cause, Dullahan, Gemologist, Hansen, I'll Have Another, Take Charge Indy, and Union Rags. What really caught my attention amongst all the Derby news was this video a friend emailed me.

Owning a few of my own horses, I can attest to the love and dedication it takes to properly raise, train and care for one of these creatures but this story is just touching.
I wish everyone a fantastic Derby weekend, I'm looking forward to the race, the fashion, the festivities and most importantly...the horses!
